What an incredible mission trip we had to Tampochocho! The Victorious Christian Harvesters missionaries and the International Harvesters Institute students were joined by a team from Victory Fellowship in Emporia, Kansas. The roof at the Tampochocho church was poured and we held an awesome crusade where God moved in a miraculous way. The IHI students evangelized the different communities and we held a six-hour "Signs, Wonders and Souls," evangelism seminar. Wow, what a week!
The results: 474 salvation professions of faith, including 314 from the crusade. Actually, there were many more that put their hands on their hearts and said the salvation prayer but didn’t come forward. There were probably over 500 commitments, but only God knows. There were 1,919 people counted at the crusades, plus 857 ministered to in the children and youth meetings, as well as those personally ministered to house-to-house. All of these total 2,776 people ministered to during this awesome mission trip. Also, 2,800 pounds of beans were distributed to the needy.
Hebrews 13:5 says, "Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever." David preached the first night on "Five Reasons to Believe in Jesus Christ." The second night was, "Nine Ways God Heals Today." And the third night was, "Seven Signs of Christ’s Return." We counted them—over 90 testimonies of healing. Praise God! We could see some of the healings with our own eyes—everything from the lady with a lump which was a tumor in her abdomen that disappeared, to the woman who had to be carried in, was touched by the power of God, and walked out healed! (pictured above) Alleluia!
Roberto (pictured above) was a demon possessed man who made a satanic blood covenant in the "witch capital" of Veracruz. He killed an animal, smeared the blood all over his body and drank the rest. This demon possessed individual made it miserable for the people around him and it was literally "hell" at home for his wife and children. After a long time of walking around the Axtla area, looking for someone to deliver him, he met a "Godly man," Ezekiel, our full-time evangelist in Tampochocho. He grabbed Ezekiel’s hand, slapped it on his chest and said, "Pray for me, deliver me!" Four hours later, with the added prayers of Ezekiel’s wife, Antonia, and his aunt Beatrize, Roberto was set free and saved by the blood of the Lamb. No one can deny the power of God. It is real forever once you have experienced it!
The Victory Fellowship team worked with all the Nahuatl brothers and the roof for the church in Tampochocho was poured in a tremendous way. Trees were cut in the forest to make the stairway ramp to the second floor. Sand, gravel, cement, buckets, and a mixer never stopped until we ran out of materials and took a break until the last load of gravel arrived. It was literally a human machine in action. The team shoveled sand & gravel into buckets that filled the mixer with cement to make the concrete. Then buckets were filled with mixed concrete and carried or pulled up to the 2nd floor where the roof was poured in six hours by team effort, unity and the Holy Spirit! Glory! We are planning to pour the first floor February 15-21, 2008 and we invite you to join us!
