HUASTECA REGION

Training of pastors and summer schools

Training of pastors

In the Huasteca district, the team ministered in nine different churches.  Altogether, they ministered to 3,039 boys, girls, youth and adults during the church services and the Vacation Bible Schools.   The district pastor, Ezequiel Hernandez, and all of the pastors and churches were greatly blessed!
Josh shared a testimony that they prayed over a man named Emilio who has been bedridden for 17 years. When he was 13 he had a dangerously high fever and, while hallucinating, he ran off of a cliff and was paralyzed completely from the waist down. Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). Jesus went about doing the Father’s business and He sent us to do the same.  God used our team and as they prayed for Emilo and he said that he began to feel his legs again and move his toes!

Summer School

MATEHUALA SLP

Training of pastors and summer schools

Training of pastors

We had a refreshing time with the pastoral couples of the Matehuala region, where we supported the couples to remain stable and to always be ready to serve each other.

Husbands, love her wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy. He purified it, washing it with water through the word, to present it to himself as a radiant church, without spot or wrinkle or any other imperfection, but holy and blameless. Likewise, the husband must love his wife as his own body. He who loves his wife loves himself, for no one has ever hated his own body; Rather, he feeds and cares for it, just as Christ does the church, because we are members of his body. “That is why a man will leave his father and his mother, and will be united to his wife, and the two will become one body.” This is a profound mystery; I mean Christ and the church. In any case, each of you also love his wife as yourself, and may the wife respect her husband.

The basis of every marriage relationship must be LOVE and RESPECT; As spouses we have a very important role since we are modeling Jesus; not only as husbands but also as pastors.

And the wives for their part represent the church showing respect and loving others. We must have healthy marriages if we want to have healthy churches. For this reason we wanted to have this time with the churches to be feeding their Love both for themselves and for their churches.

summer schools

In the summer Bible schools we enjoy teaching the children, playing with them and doing crafts. Each class that we teach we support it with a craft that is related to the class and with games in tune to reinforce the values that we are imparting. At the end of the week we were able to see the children who were already implementing what we taught at home and the parents thanked us for the work done and the changes that had been achieved in their children.

POZA RICA VERACRUZ

Training of pastors

The International Harvesters Institute Bible School Director, Josh Haver, his wife Esmeralda, their 3 children and IHI staff traveled this summer to our Mexico churches. They held pastors and marriage seminars in the different states, as well as Vacation Bible Schools with our CCCEA churches.  The team also preached on Sunday at different church services in El Mamey and Papantla, Veracruz. Josh and Esme‘s children also ministered and prayed for the other children. Praise the Lord!   There were 7 Pastor couples in Poza Rica.  Marriages were encouraged during the seminar.  They thanked our team for taking the time to be with them and encouraging them.  Thank you for your support to make all of this possible!

Torreon

David, Donna IHI staff, Mike and Dalila, Pedro and Betty, and Omar, traveled to Torreon to minister with Pastors Julio and Lupita. The first night Donna ministered on how to have a healthy family and that walking in forgiveness is at the heart of healthy families.  She led them in prayers of forgiveness for their own freedom.   Later, she had them stand and ask Jesus to refill them with His Holy Spirit.   At that very moment, the heavens opened up and it began to pour down rain so hard you could hardly hear her voice over the rain hitting the metal roof. (Later, the pastors told us that it had not rained there in 8 months!) Then Donna had each husband to pray blessings over their wife and their children.  The wife did the same over her husband and children. One man shared that he had not been able to forgive a brother.   He told his wife that night that he was ready to reconcile that relationship and that he had forgiven his brother.  The next evening We held a servant leader’s training seminar. Betty opened the session with the importance of serving others before being served.  Mike and Dalila closed the evening service with a call to prepare others by training and preparing others to take on whatever the leader is doing.  We must multiply ourselves in others.  The final night David and Donna held a marriage seminar.  At the end, we had the couples look into each others eyes and tell them what they love best about their mate.  We finished the evening with each couple renewing their vows. One couple shared that 2020 had been a terrible year in their marriage, but that it has now been restored.  They had been talking about renewing their vows, which is what we did that night!   Sunday Morning I preached at the church’s sixth anniversary celebration service.
